It still uses the excellent short-pile Japanese-style wool design with a centering hole to easily balance the pad while helping to cool the pad and polish the surface during use.

Anyone who has examined their polishing pads after heavy use has found that the center of the pad is almost unusable. By removing this part of the pad, we allow the surface to stay cooler while also providing a self-centering hole to save time when installing the pad. This pad not only provides powerful cutting, but also handles a powerful cutting pad incredibly well.
